1. Q: What are the causes of male pattern baldness?
   A: The most common type of balding is androgenic alopecia, or male pattern baldness.
   As it develops, the hairs in the affected areas of the scalp (top of head and middle front of head) become shorter, finer and less pigmented with successive growth cycles.
